The Marmanet Water Supply Scheme Phase I – Stage II was designed to expand access to clean and reliable water in the Marmanet region. This phase of the project focused on developing underground pipeline infrastructure, storage facilities, and water distribution points to serve the surrounding communities.
Through the installation of a new mainline, construction of storage tanks, and establishment of water kiosks, the project improves both household and community access to safe water while also enhancing supporting infrastructure such as access roads.
Scope of Work:
1. Pipeline Network – Laying and testing of 22 km of underground mainline to ensure reliable and efficient water distribution.
2. Storage Facilities – Construction of 45 m³ BPT (break pressure tanks) to regulate flow and maintain consistent water pressure across the system.
3. Water Kiosks – Establishment of community water kiosks to provide accessible and affordable water points for local residents.
4. Access Roads – Development of access roads to improve connectivity to the water facilities and ensure ease of maintenance.
Key Benefits:
- Expanded water coverage to more households and communities in the Marmanet region.
- Reliable supply with regulated pressure from BPT tanks.
- Improved community access through strategically placed water kiosks.
- Enhanced infrastructure support with new access roads.
- Long-term, sustainable water delivery system built for growth.
The Marmanet Water Supply Scheme Phase I – Stage II stands as a milestone in strengthening rural water infrastructure, improving community welfare, and advancing regional development through sustainable engineering solutions.
